Horlicks bottles and Union Minister Alagiri

Horlicks bottles and Union Minister Alagiri

AIADMK General Secretary Selvi Jayalalitha suspected a link between the disappearance of a consignment of the beverage and the free distribution of Horlicks to the people at a recent medical camp in her Andipatti constituency by Union minister M K Alagiri.

Referring to reports that about 9,000 bottles of Horlicks, brought from Haryana to a godown near Sholavandan in Madurai district, went missing on July 12, she said the lorry owner had to move the Madurai bench of the Madras high court after the police refused to register a complaint.

Alleging that Alagiri had doled out bottles of the beverage to about 8,700 people at Andipatti on July 18 as part of chief minister M Karunanidhi’s birthday celebrations, Jayalalithaa said there was a suspicion among the public whether there was a link with the bottles that disappeared. She also demanded that the state government recommend a CBI probe into the incident as the Union minister was suspected to have a “link”.

We request the Tamil Nadu Government to find out the real culprits who have stolen the Horlicks Bottles and to clear the doubts from peoples mind.

Who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India?

Who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India?

Former Indian Prime Minister Rajjiv Gandhi's last public meeting was on 21 May 1991, in Sriperumbudur, a town approximately 30 miles from Chennai, where he was assassinated while campaigning for the Sriperumbudur Lok Sabha Congress candidate Mrs Maragatham Chandrasekhar in Tamil Nadu.

Jain commission was appointed by Narasimha Rao in August 1991, three months after Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister, was assassinated in pursuance of a diabolical plot, carefully conceived and executed by a highly organized foreign terrorist organization. Sixteen innocent lives were lost and many sustained grievous/simple injuries." The names of others who died during the explosion were as follows: P K Gupta (personal security officer to Rajiv Gandhi), Latha Kannan, Kokilavani, Iqbal (superintendent of police), Rajakuru (inspector of police), Edward Joseph (inspector of police), Ethiraj (sub-inspector of police), Sundaraju Pillai (police constable), Ravi (commando police constable), Dharman (police constable), Chandra (woman police constable), Santhani Begum, Darryl Peter, Kumari Saroja Devi and Munuswamy.

The 5,280-page report of Jain, comprising eight volumes of interim findings and nine volumes of annexure bound in black rexine, holds Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and his DMK responsible for abetting Rajiv Gandhi's murderers. Also blamed are two former prime ministers, V.P. Singh and Chandra Shekhar, for their laxity in assessing the threat to Rajiv.

The interim report of the Jain commission created a storm when it accused Karunanidhi a role in the assassination, leading to Congress withdrawing its support for the I. K. Gujral government and fresh elections in 1998.

It is a notable mention that the current Congress government led by Manmohan Singh supported by Sonia Gandhi, wife of Rajiv Gandhi has Karunanidhi as one of its allies.

LTTE spokesperson Anton Balasingham already told the Indian television channel NDTV that the killing was a "great tragedy, a monumental historical tragedy which we deeply regret.” Even after several years, the people of India are still anxious to know about that who has plotted for Rajiv’s assassination in India? If Congress Government wants to stay in people’s heart, they must reveal the truth.

We are telling the story as published by Junior Vikatan in their issue dated 11-1-2004.

DMK attacked Indira Gandhi in Madurai and now keeping friendship with Congress.

DMK attacked Indira Gandhi in Madurai and now keeping friendship with Congress.

In 1979, when the All India Congress President and former Prime Minister of India Mrs.Indira Gandhi visited Tamil Nadu, she was attacked by the D.M.K., Mr.Nedumaran who accompanied her, shielded her and bore the brutal attacks on his body and saved Mrs. Gandhi’s life. After this incident, Mrs. Gandhi used to call Nedumaran as her eldest son.

Now Actor S.S.Chandran says to Junior Vikatan in its issue dated 28-7-2010, Indira Gandhi was attacked during the procession by D.M.K. and all over her sari, and there was blood

Stain. When all the parties condemned this brutal attack, DMK party leaders criticized that it is only a stain due to women menstrual blood. The leader who has criticized like this is still in DMK and this is there long friendship with Congress Party.

Sonia-Sania reference in”Thillalangadi” film angers Congress Leader.

Sonia-Sania reference in”Thillalangadi” film angers Congress Leader.

A forthcoming Tamil film, ‘Thillalangadi’, has pitted Tamil Nadu Congress leader KV Thangkabalu against chief minister M Karunanidhi’s grand-nephew Kalanithi Maran. The bone of contention is the use of Sonia Gandhi’s name in the promos telecast on Sun TV. Thangabalu has demanded that the dialogue be dropped from the film.

The trailer shows heroine Tamannah asking hero ‘Jayam’ Ravi to have some ambition in life, and aim to become either a police officer or a software engineer. The hero retorts, saying, “I too want you to become a party president like Sonia Gandhi or a tennis player like Sania Mirza.”

The Sonia-Sania reference has upset Congress cadres, claimed Thangkabalu, the state Congress chief, in a statement on Thursday. “Party cadres are upset about the ‘derogatory’ reference to our party leader Sonia Gandhi. We demand that the dialogue that is being repeatedly telecast in the promos be stopped and removed from the film,” said Thangabalu. “Our leader has made so many sacrifices for the country and is extremely selfless. She cannot be mentioned with such disrespect,” he said, adding that the collective feeling of the cadres could not be ignored.

Such irreverent references to political leaders can be avoided, and I have requested my friend Kalanithi Maran (who heads the Sun Network Group) to remove the objectionable lines before the film releases today,” he added.

However, Hansraj Saxena, chief operating officer of Sun Pictures, which is releasing the film, said the dialogue was being ‘misunderstood.’ The objection is surprising, said the film’s director ‘Jayam’ Raja. “I am a very careful person and I take care not to hurt the sentiments of anyone since my films are meant for a family audience. I felt that the Sonia-Sania reference would go down as positive role models,” he said.

But TNCC President Thangabalu is unimpressed with what he terms ‘trivialising’ of his leader’s image. “Nobody becomes a party leader overnight or by dreaming of it,” he pointed out. The responsibility of assuaging the wounded feelings of his party cadres rested with him, Thangabalu said.

It is our request that Sun Pictures must give respect to the feelings of Congress workers and the Tamil Nadu Congress President K.V.Thangabalu and they must remove the dialogues pointed out by them from the movie. From removing one dialogue, they will not get any great loss but they will get satisfaction for giving respects to others sentiment.

Whether Tamil Nadu Labour Minister received Rs.25, lakhs Bribe?

Whether Tamil Nadu Labour Minister received Rs.25, lakhs Bribe?

CPI (M) MLA C. Govindasamy, representing the Tiurpur constituency, was expelled from the primary membership of the party for defying the decision of the party district committee against organizing felicitation for DMK Ministers.

The party State secretary G. Ramakrishnan, who attended the district committee meeting in which the decision on expulsion was taken, said, “We were under compulsion to expel him as he refused to change his attitude even after he was given a long rope.”

Mr. Govindasamy was removed as the leader of the CPI (M) in the Assembly and from the State committee in the wake of allegations that in 2008 he acted as a conduit between the owners of the Tirupur hosiery units and the Labour Minister against the interest of the workers.

“When the hosiery units faced action from the Labour department for violating labour laws with regard to overtime, the owners of the unit collected Rs. 25 lakh and the bribe amount was passed on to the Minister through the Tirupur M.L.A.,” District Secretary Mr Kamaraj said.

Mr. Kamaraj also said the party was left with no option but to explain the truth behind his expulsion because Mr. Govindasamy had been leveling baseless allegations against the party.

It is now for Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to find out the fact, whether his labour minister has received the bribe amount from the hosiery units for violating labour laws.

Kamaraj108th Birthday and arrest of 82 yrs old freedom fighter by Tamil Nadu Govt.

Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister Perunthalaivar Kamaraj was widely known to be the kingmaker in Indian politics, and known for his honesty, integrity and simplicity. He was involved in the Indian independence movement and was jailed for several times by the British rulers. Kamaraj remained Chief Minister for three consecutive terms. Kamaraj is still remembered for bringing school education to millions of the rural poor by introducing free education and the free Mid-day Meal Scheme during his tenure as chief minister.

On October 2, 1963, he resigned from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Post and proposed that all senior Congress leaders should resign form their posts and devote all their energy to the re-vitalization of the Congress. As a Chief Minister, he has not accumulated any wealth or any house for his family or relations. He was honored with the highest civilian honor, the 'Bharat Ratna' posthumously in 1976.

Congress cadre and INA warrior and freedom fighter Sudalaimuthu, who was on fast at Satyamoorthy Bhavan on 14-7-2010 demanding naming of the bus stand in Radhapuram at Nellai Dist after Kamaraj and installation of statues of Kamaraj and his Cabinet colleague P. Kakkan on the premises was arrested along with Dist Congress leader Sivaji Muthukumar.

Speaking to Junior Vikatan Mr. Elangovan, who said that Chief Minister Karunanidhi should look into this matter and release Sudalaimuthu who is in his elderly age of 82 years. Elangovan also told neither he nor his party was against the installation of other statues (of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s parents Muthuvel and Anjugam Ammal).

We also appeal to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to name the Radhapuram Bus stand in the name of the Great Leader Kamaraj and install his statue as a gesture towards Kamaraj 108th birthday.

Whether Police raid DVD shops for Tamil movie “madharasapattinam”?

Whether Police raid DVD shops for Tamil movie “madharasapattinam”?

A raid in Chennai on some Anna Nagar shops “to detect new CDs/DVDs of new Tamil releases” on Thursday afternoon by a huge police team saw it return without even one CD. Anna Nagar deputy commissioner S Paneer Selvam led the team, which comprised all the assistant commissioners in the district, 12 inspectors, 20 sub-inspectors and 20 constables.

Sources said the raid was to identify if the pirated DVDs of ‘Madharasapattinam’, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, were in circulation. However, when the police landed at Netaji Market near the Anna Arch, they were welcomed by closed shops. Most of the owners had left. The law-enforcement officials, however, called the shop owners association office bearers and threatened to seal the shops if they were not opened.

A few shops were sealed as a warning. Then the association members rushed to the spot, but could not find many of the owners there and used hammers to break open the locks. The police then conducted a thorough search but could not find anything. “We were trying to find the latest Tamil releases but could not get any,” said Paneer Selvam. He said whenever a raid was organized, the information was leaked out and by the time the police reached the spot, the shops were found closed.

“This time we made them open all the shops but they had managed to get information beforehand,” he said.

In Chennai, daily one house breaking, chains snatching like offences are being done by anti social elements. In market unhygienic water pockets, date expired medicines and unhygienic food pockets are being sold by anti social shopkeepers. Government must utilize Police department for identifying these immoral people from the society. Government must be keen on utilizing police for safe guarding matters that affect people’s day-to-day life and work and then only they will be appreciated.

[Part-3] AIADMK General Secretary Selvi Jayalalitha Speeches at Coimbatore on 13-7-2010.

[Part-3] AIADMK General Secretary Selvi Jayalalitha Speeches at Coimbatore on 13-7-2010.

AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa on Tuesday declared she would form a ‘dream alliance’ for the crucial 2011 assembly election and usher in MGR rule in Tamil Nadu. Virtually kick starting her poll campaign in the AIADMK’s citadel of Coimbatore, Jayalalithaa told her partymen: “MGR’s rule will be ushered in soon. The alliance you desire will be formed. I will take care of alliance. And you work towards democratically defeating the DMK.”

Therefore, on a balmy Tuesday afternoon in this textile city, Jayalalithaa turned the heat only on DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi and his family. Significantly, she spared the Congress, though it was a massive public rally organized to protest the recent hike in prices by the Congressled UPA regime and the spiralling prices of essential food items.

“You may say the Central government is responsible for the frequent hike in fuel prices. But, in the 78-member Central Ministry, 12 ministers are from Tamil Nadu and eight are from the DMK. The DMK central ministers should also be held responsible for the increase in prices of fuel,” she explained.

The Union petroleum minister, Murli Deora, had announced that DMK minister MK Alagiri took part in the meeting of the cabinet, which decided on increasing the fuel prices, and the DMK had given its consent for the hike, she pointed out. Touted as an AIADMK’s counter show for the World Classical Tamil conference organized by the DMK regime in Coimbatore, the protest rally drew huge crowds of AIADMK men from across Tamil Nadu to the textile city.

The AIADMK chief asked her partymen not to get lured by ‘bribe money’ and take a vow to end the rule of “Karunanidhi and his family”. In her over one-hour speech punctuated by famous lines from MGR’s movies and roaring applause from the crowds, Jayalalithaa, elaborated on the economics of inflation and squarely blamed Karunanidhi for the drop in agricultural production and failure to curb hoarding and online trading which were responsible for skyrocketing inflation that had shot up by 35% at the retail level. Unleashing a litany of personal offensive against the first family of the DMK, she administered a pledge to her party men to put an end to the “family rule” in Tamil Nadu.

Rajpakshe must repent for his cruelty done to EelamTamil before U.N.Council.

Rajpakshe must repent for his cruelty done to EelamTamil before U.N.Council.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon’s June 22 appointed of an expert panel to advise him on human rights violations in the final stage of the island’s civil war. Thousands of civilians were killed by the Sri Lankan military’s bombardments in the months leading up to the defeat of the separatist Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in May 2009.

The UN panel is headed by former Indonesian Attorney General Marzuki Darusman, who is a member of Golkar—the ruling party during the Suharto military dictatorship. The other members are Yasmin Sooka, a former member of South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission and Steven Ratner, an American law professor. UN spokesperson Martin Nesirky underlined the limited scope of the move, noting the “advisory panel [is] limited to advising the secretary general… It is not a fact-finding or investigative body.”

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse rejected that UN panel at a cabinet meeting the following day. On the same day that the UN panel was announced, the European Union (EU) issued an ultimatum to the Colombo government, declaring that it would not extend GSP+ tariff concessions to Sri Lanka after August 15 without a written assurance on protecting human rights. An EU statement proposed an extension for “a limited additional period, subject to a clear and written commitment” to undertake a number of human rights-related actions within a six-month period beginning in July. The withdrawal of EU concessions would affect Sri Lankan exports, particularly of garments, to Europe.

The UN has estimated that at least 7,000 civilians died in the final months of the war, between January 20 and May 14. An International Crisis Group report last month put the figure far higher, at between 30,000 and 75,000 deaths, and accused the Sri Lankan military of deliberately targeting hospitals and civilians inside LTTE-held territory. The US-based Human Rights Watch and Britain’s Channel Four have produced pictures showing the torture of Tamils, which experts have said are authentic. The Colombo government has repeatedly branded all such evidence as “fabricated” and claimed that the army killed no civilians.

Following the LTTE’s collapse, the army herded more than 250,000 civilians—men, women and children—into huge, military-run detention centers in blatant violation of their basic rights under the country’s constitution. Young people in particular were interrogated. Thousands accused of being “terrorist suspects” were dragged off to re-education centres in unknown locations. The country’s emergency laws, which remain in force a year after fighting ended, provide for indefinite detention without trial.

Rajapakse relied increasingly on Beijing for diplomatic, financial and military support. In return for its backing, China was granted significant economic concessions. India must note that Rajpaksha’s intimacy with China may turn as a weapon against India. All the people throughout the world expect that Rajpakshe must repent for his cruelty done to Eelam Tamil community before U.N.Council.

Tamils in Srilanka must have a peaceful life without any fear.

Tamils in Srilanka must have a peaceful life without any fear.

AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa clarified on 7-7-2010 [Dinamalar] her stand on the LTTE, saying that she did not condemn the annihilation of the LTTE in War.

“What I condemn is the wanton killing of LTTE activists surrendering, waving white flags before the Sri Lankan Armed forces. What I condemn is the killing of 50,000 unarmed civilians coming out of their bunkers, lured into believing that the war had come to an end,” she said in a statement.

Joining issue with Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue vis-à-vis her opposition to the LTTE, she said the Chief Minister's idea was to paint her as anti-Tamil. She said right through the 1980s, former Chief Minister MGR and she supported the LTTE-led struggle for the rights and freedom of the Tamil masses of Sri Lanka. “But when the killings of Tamil moderates, members of rival Tamil militant groups and finally the former Prime Minister of India took place, it was obvious that the outfit of freedom fighters had turned into terrorists. From that point onwards, I had the courage to oppose the LTTE” she added.

Ms.Jayalalithaa admitted that she did say that some civilian casualties were inevitable during the war.

“It is so with practically every war the world has seen. However, Mr. Karunanidhi deliberately chooses to mix up civilian fatalities caused during war with the planned mass killing of civilians using banned weapons after he [Mr. Karunanidhi] had announced the end of the war.

After the conclusion of the world classical Tamil meet in Coimbatore, chief minister M Karunanidhi indicated on Monday[28-6-2010] that he was not planning to retire from politics in the near future. However, when reporters persisted with the query, he joked: “You tell me the date, I will quit.”

“I never said I will retire from politics (after the world classical Tamil meet),” he told the media here. Last December, he stunned DMK cadres and leaders by declaring that he wanted to quit electoral politics after successfully completing the world Tamil conference.

Asked if the assembly elections due in May 2011 would be advanced, the chief minister said, “We have organized such a grand Tamil conference, why talk about assembly elections now?”

On December 5, 2009, barely five months after his younger son, MK Stalin, was elevated as deputy chief minister, Karunanidhi had said: “I want to work for the downtrodden, without the trappings of power.” He made the remarks at a function organised by Arunthathiyars to thank him for the sub-quota offered to the community.

We want all the political leaders in Tamil Nadu leaving their party ideologies must come forward to condemn the killings of Tamils in Srilanka and to give a helping hand for their peaceful living without any fear from Rajapaksa Government.

Rs 311.52 crore. Classical Tamil meet and prices hike of Petrol, Diesel and cooking Gas.

Rs 311.52 crore. Classical Tamil meet and prices hike of Petrol, Diesel and cooking Gas.

Times News in its issue dated 29-6-2010 says the global Tamil meet has cost the state exchequer Rs 311.52 crore. About Rs 68.52 crore went towards “direct expenditure” for organizing the World Classical Tamil conference and Rs 243 crore was spent on improving infrastructure in and around Coimbatore, chief minister M Karunanidhi disclosed here on Monday.

Addressing a media conference, before leaving for Chennai, the chief minister said 1.5 lakh people, on a daily average, thronged the sprawling venue of the World Tamil conference for the last five days. About five lakh people witnessed the rally of 40 “fabulous floats” taken out on the streets of Coimbatore, depicting the glory and hoary tradition of the Tamils. About 4 lakh people were provided subsidised lunch (for Rs 30 a pack) during the five days of the conference, the chief minister said.

As many as 2,605 delegates from foreign countries and India were provided accommodation in 1,642 rooms in 92 hotels. And 913 papers were presented on 55 subjects at the academic sessions of the conference.

In India, Muslim community people are fighting for their reservation in education and employment opportunities. However, it is not known, whether any resolution was passed in the World Classical Tamil Conference for the uplift of Tamil People education and jobs in Srilanka.

In the same time of ending day of Tamil Conference, the Indian Government has hiked the prices of petrol, Diesel and the Cooking Gas, which the common people are daily using. The Government can avoid the prices hike by cutting the expenditure of Ministers and to conduct the several conferences in a simple way. In India, Newspapers are publishing daily one death case due to poverty.

Political Party leaders must first concentrate their ideology for the living of common people and then automatically the classical language itself will grow.
